All kids’ glasses are free at Asda Opticians with an NHS voucher*

As children grow up their eyes change and so they need to visit an Optometrist more regularly than adults. If any problems are left untreated, it might mean children will fall behind at school or in some cases, it may even result in irreversible sight problems. Eye health checks from an Optometrist can pick up a range of eye problems including the threemost common eye conditions in children:

• Short-sightedness (myopia)
• Squint or eye turn (strabismus)
• Lazy eye (amblyopia)

The good news – eye tests are free for under 16’s. Children under 16 (or under 19 and in full time education) are entitled to a free eye test under the NHS. This can be carried out at all Asda Opticians.

NHS eye tests are available to those who are eligible. You may also be entitled to NHS financial help for either the full or partial cost of your glasses and contact lenses. If you are unsure if you are entitled to financial help, ask one of our optical advisors or refer to leaflets HC11 and HC12 which you can request by calling 08701 555 455.
