No, not yet. If you have never worn contact lenses, you will need to book a contact lens appointment with your local optician or visit an ASDA optician. This will determine your suitability for contact lenses and your prescription (i.e. lens type, fit and strength). Once fitting is complete, your optician is legally obliged to give you your prescription, so you can start ordering with us.
No, your contact lens prescription is different to that provided for glasses.
It is different from a sight test prescription. A contact lens prescription details the brand of lenses you have been fitted, the fitting and the strength of your lenses. It will be signed and dated by your optician to indicate when you were fitted for lenses and the length of time your prescription is valid for.
To re-new your prescription, simply book an appointment with your local optician or an ASDA optician for a contact lens check-up. This will check the health of your eyes and ensure that your lens type and prescription are still suitable. Most contact lens wearers are recommended to have a check-up at least every 12 months.
As long as your contact lens fitting or check-up is complete, your optician is legally obliged to provide you with a full contact lens prescription.
Yes you can - see contact us for details of how to send this. We will then validate this with your optician.
Many opticians' own branded lenses are simply re-packaged versions of named brand lenses. To find the lenses you need, just click on 'Not sure which lense' where you will be able to see which lenses are exactly the same as your opticians' own brand lenses.
